Joint Meeting of FLO and Russian Chapter of the BRICS WBA in Moscow
On the 23rd of September, a joint meeting of the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) and the Russian Chapter of BRICS Women's Business Alliance took place in Moscow, Russia, in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) is a division of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) which is the apex body of industry and commerce in India. During their business trip to Russia, over 20 members of FLO visited two cities: Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. In Moscow, they were welcomed by the representatives of the Russian Chapter of BRICS Women's Business Alliance (WBA) and its Chairperson Anna Nesterova.
Veronika Peshkova, UNIDO Goodwill Ambassador, in her opening remarks welcomed a closer partnership between India and Russia.
President of FLO, Ms.Ujjwala Singhania, gave an opening speech in which she expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation of the parties and further strengthening ties between Russia and India.
Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of WBA, moderated the discussion. She underlined the importance of the meeting for the two parties as well as the positive impact of business diplomacy on bilateral relations. In the second part of the meeting, she drew attention to the projects developed by the Russian Chapter of the Alliance. CEO of EPOTOS Group of Companies Elena Chashchina, CEO of Orthomoda Galina Volkova and purchasing director of Progress company Timur Fayzullin also presented their projects in the Alliance.
The meeting was held in a constructive and positive atmosphere. Moreover, as a result, the two parties have agreed to cooperate in the sphere of women entrepreneurship development: exchange experiences, best practices and promote women's agenda in the BRICS countries.
At the end of the discussion, the participants took joint photos and held separate B2B meetings.
