On April 7, 2023, Anna Nesterova, the BRICS WBA Russian Chapter's Chairperson, met with Alexander Yakovenko, the Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Anna Nesterova told about the history of the Alliance's establishment, its key priorities, the Russian Chapter's projects and initiatives, the Alliance's events in 2023, as well as plans for 2024, the year of Russia's presidency in the BRICS.

Russian Chapter's Chairperson and the Rector of the Diplomatic Academy discussed possible areas of cooperation, which include organizing an internship for students of the Diplomatic Academy in the Russian Chapter's secretariat, publishing relevant documents and articles on BRICS topics, as well as interacting within the working group on food security.

Following the meeting, Alexander Yakovenko expressed hope for further joint and fruitful cooperation between the BRICS Women's Business Alliance and the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
