Initiative to Create BRICS WBA Included in Johannesburg Declaration
On Wednesday, July 25, the X Summit Leaders of BRICS was opened in Johannesburg. The three-day event was began with a business forum. Later a meeting of leaders which attended by the heads of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa was held there.
As a result of The X BRICS Summit in South Africa, the heads of the member-countries of the Association signed the Johannesburg Declaration, which included the Business women's Alliance of BRICS.
«Emphasising the role played by women in promoting inclusive development, we note the work being done to consider the establishment of the BRICS Women's Forum and the BRICS Women's Business Alliance.
Following the meeting of the heads of BRICS-states, the document was signed in expanded format at the Sandton international conference center.
