03 June 2024

The BRICS Women’s Business Alliance decided to continue the initiative of South Africa Chapter launched during South Africa’s  BRICS Chairship in 2023 and establish regional offices of the Alliance in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia and Belarus.

At the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum, the flagship event of the Alliance during the year of Russia’s BRICS Chairship, on June 3, 2024, Anna Nesterova, Global Chairperson of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance and Altynai Abdykerimova, President of the Association of Women in Energy of Kyrgyzstan, signed a memorandum of understandiong on the establishment of the regional office of the Alliance in Kyrgyzstan, the first office of the BRICS WBA in the CIS.

The general partner of the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum is Sberbank.

Recently, there has been a high interest in cooperation with the Women’s Business Alliance from the BRICS partners.

The opening of regional offices will help expand the network of international interaction and establish direct contacts with women entrepreneurs from other countries.

The interest of business from other countries interested in the Alliance’s agenda is growing, and in this regard, the opening of offices will strengthen partnerships with BRICS-friendly states.

The launch of regional offices in these countries is due to the readiness to work on a wide range of issues, including those affecting business, socio-economic, humanitarian and cultural aspects of cooperation.

In addition, the opening of a regional center in Kyrgyzstan will further promote the integration of the BRICS and EAEU agendas.
