BRICS Business Forum 2024 Takes Place in Moscow

The BRICS Business Forum 2024, held on October, 18 in Moscow, Russia, brought together over 1,000 representatives of the business community, including heads of companies, associations, unions of entrepreneurs, and chambers of commerce and industry from the BRICS countries. This forum was attended by business leaders from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates, countries that officially joined BRICS on January 1, 2024.

 

Heads and members of working groups, heads of regional offices, project curators of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance were also present at the event.

  

The Forum aimed to provide a platform for networking and partnership development. The event featured keynote speeches by prominent figures in politics and global business dedicated to strengthening market integration and economic collaboration within the BRICS association.

In addition to discussions on economic strategies, workshops and panel sessions addressed cooperation in finance and investment, transport and logistics, agriculture, information and food security, and sustainable development.

Moreover, the Forum participants congratulated the winners of the BRICS international competition of best practices and the BRICS Women’s Startup Contest.

As the world continues to navigate complex geopolitical landscapes, the BRICS Business Forum 2024 promises to be a pivotal event for shaping the future of international trade among the BRICS countries and accelerating socioeconomic growth of these influential nations.

“By working together and by helping and supporting each other, we will attain our main goal, which is to ensure progressive development, security and, ultimately, well-being for our countries’ citizens,”Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session. “The BRICS’ activities are not spearheaded against anyone. They are aimed at attaining our common goal of sustainable development and prosperity for our nations”.
