BRICS WBA “SHE-nergy” Roundtable at the Russian-Thai Investment Forum 2025

On November 26, The BRICS Women’s Business Alliance roundtable “Unlocking SHE-nergy: Opportunities for BRICS–Thailand Business Cooperation” took place within the framework of the Russian–Thai Investment Forum 2025 in Phuket.

The event brought together representatives from the BRICS member countries, including representatives from Russia, Brazil, Indonesia, and Egypt, as well as experts from BRICS partner states Malaysia and Vietnam.

The roundtable was moderated by Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS WBA.

“Establishing close cooperation with BRICS countries, particularly in the context of women’s entrepreneurship, will allow Thailand to increase exports, attract investment, and introduce innovative technologies into various economic sectors,” noted Anna Nesterova.

Welcoming remarks were made by Ms. Liliya Rizvanova, Head of the BRICS Department of the Foreign Policy Planning Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Among other speakers were:

Ms. Gabriela Leoni, Trade policy expert, Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI);

Ms. Hoda Yassa, President of Arab Women Investors Union (AWIU);

Ms. Irawati Hermawan, Member of the BRICS WBA Indonesia Chapter, CEO &Managing Partner of Hermawan Juniarto;

Ms. Yanty Melianty, Co Chairman of IWAPI (BRICS WBA Indonesia) for SMEs, Founder & Director of PT Magfood Inovasi Pangan;

Ms. Maika Nurhayati, Co Chairman of IWAPI for HealthCare;

Ms. Emiliawati Zainol, Vice President (Administration), National Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Malaysia (NAWEM);

Ms. Nguyên Thi Van, CITY VILLAGE INVESTMENT JOINT STOCK COMPANY, Project Development Assistant;

Ms. Truong Thi Ny, Domestic and International Business Solution Support Expert.

Within the framework of the roundtable the speakers discussed the prospects and key areas of cooperation between the BRICS countries and Thailand, in particular, in such key areas as:

• Investment & Banking;
• HORECA;
• Trade;
• Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals;
• Innovative Development & MedTec.

“Our roundtable meeting served as more than just a platform for exchanging opinions, but also as a starting point for new initiatives, strengthened partnerships, and concrete steps to strengthen and develop entrepreneurship in the expanded BRICS space,” emphasized Anna Nesterova.
