The Food Security & Environmental Safety Working Group of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance convened its second meeting on 25 March 2026 under India’s Chairship, with active participation from member countries.

The session brought together diverse perspectives on advancing inclusive and sustainable food systems, with a strong emphasis on the role of women as key drivers of change across the agriculture value chain. Members shared experiences and emerging practices in areas such as climate adaptation, digital enablement in agriculture, nutrition-focused approaches, and grassroots entrepreneurship. The discussions underscored a collective intent to foster practical collaboration, strengthen capacity-building ecosystems, and promote people-centric approaches to food security and environmental sustainability across BRICS.
