From April 27 to 30, the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance (WBA) participated in the “ASTANA. WOMEN. SUMMIT – 2026” in Astana, Kazakhstan. The delegation was led by Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS WBA.
The Summit’s mission is to unite women leaders and to introduce innovations that change the world for the better.
The event was organised by the Association of Business Women of Kazakhstan (ABWK), which serves as a regional office of the BRICS WBA in the country. The ABWK is a republican, non-governmental public interest organisation founded in 1995.

The opening of the Summit was led by Raushan Sarsembayeva, Chairperson of the BRICS Regional Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Association of Businesswomen of Kazakhstan. In her remarks, she highlighted the key role of women in the innovation economy and sustainable development, emphasized the importance of young women, and a new type of leadership based on trust and partnership.

Anna Nesterova also addressed the official opening of the Astana Women Summit – 2026. She emphasized the key role of women in today’s economy and underlined the importance of international cooperation and the opportunities provided by the BRICS WBA. In this context, she highlighted the BRICS Women’s Startup Contest as an important platform for promoting projects and encouraged greater participation from Kazakhstan.

The delegation of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS WBA also visited the Institute of Reproductive Medicine IRM Clinic. During the meeting, Tamara Muftakhovna Dzhusubalieva, the founder of the clinic, made a speech, telling about the clinic’s activities.
