On June 3rd, within the framework of the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), a session of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance was held, titled “BRICS – What Unites Us: Shared Victories and New Opportunities for Women’s Entrepreneurship.”
During the panel session, BRICS practical developments and initiatives in the fields of recruitment, light industry, healthcare, education, and social entrepreneurship were presented.
The session was moderated by Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance. During the speech, Anna underlined:

“It must be acknowledged that behind every catchy phrase about ‘expanding and deepening cooperation’ there are practical developments and real cases of launched
and implemented projects.”

The session also featured speeches by:
- Liudmila Shcherbakova, President of Velpharm Group of Companies;
- Chioma Dozie, Pharmacist Director of Dochiva Pharmatech Nig Ltd;
- Alsu Nabiyeva, Rector of the Russian University of Cooperation;
- Maika Nurhayati, Representative of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance Indonesia Chapter, Vice Chairperson of the Healthcare Affairs of the Indonesian Association of Women Entrepreneurs;
- Tatyana Lugina, General Director of Kamvol, Chairperson of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance Regional Office in Belarus;
- Galina Volkova, Founder of Special Purpose Footwear Design Center “Ortomoda”;
- Natalia Vershinina-Adelman, Head of the BRICS Mobility international project, expert in international recruitment and provision of foreign personnel, CEO of the Private Employment Agency Regional Labor Exchange LLC.
Chioma Dozie, Pharmacist Director of Dochiva Pharmatech Nig Ltd, delivered her remarks underlining the role of BRICS in implementing and promoting joint projects:

Interest in pharmaceutical cooperation is extremely high, especially when it comes to medicine safety. Our partners need new technologies in this area and we are ready to provide them.

The session served as a platform for seeking multilateral synergy. For example, the parties discussed the prospects for enterpreneurial cooperation, found a common ground in healthcare, education and other spheres and expressed readiness for further engagement.
