A delegation of pharmaceutical companies MedExpress and FidsonHealthcare Plc from Nigeria arrived in Moscow to take part in a series of events, including an offsite session of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance “Pharmaceutical Cooperation Without Borders: Russia – Nigeria”, B2B meetings, as well as a production tour at the Velpharm-M.

During the event, ሉድሚላ ሽቸርባኮቫ, የቬልፋርም ቡድን ፕሬዝዳንት, commented on the partnership development strategy of Velpharm-M:

Our goal is to organise the process of exporting products to different countries. We obtain more than 50 registration certificates every year and strive to establish long-term business ties with Nigerian companies.

A production tour and bilateral negotiations on cooperation formats marked a logical continuation of the dialogue initiated by the parties at the Pharma West Africa exhibition, which took place in Lagos (Nigeria) in April 2026.
The paricipation of Velpharm-M in the exhibition was facilitated by the Russian Chapter of the BRICS WBA within the framework of its business mission to Nigeria.

The ultimate goal of the Alliance is to assist in finding reliable partners across the BRICS countries, particularly in establishing meaningful cooperation between the Russian and Nigerian companies.

The Nigerian delegation also visited the Loginov Moscow Clinical Scientific Center. During the visit the delegates underwent an oncological check-up እና got medical recommendations. They were given a tour of varios departments and blocks of the Center. At the end of the programme, Igor Khatkov, Director of the Loginov Moscow Clinical Scientific Center, held a meeting with the Nigerian delegation.
During the meeting Igor Khatkov commented on the current situation in the field of cancer prevention and treatment:

We need to develop medical tourism and attract Nigerians to undergo examinations in Russia. We possess everything necessary for such a practice.

Later, the delegates took part in a cultural programme admiring the sightseeings of the Russian capital. In the evening they tasted an exquisite Russian-style dinner at the Pushkin Cafe restaurant.
