More than 1,000 applications from 28 countries were submitted to participate in the BRICS Women’s Startups Contest, including Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Iran, Russia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Colombia, Namibia, Botswana, Mauritania, Eswatini, Turkey, Central African Republic, Nigeria, Honduras, Ecuador, Ghana, Tanzania.
The Contest has shown that all projects of women entrepreneurs are highly developed, have great potential and a comprehensive approach.
The implementation of the women’s startups will have a significant impact on global economic development and contribute to the formation of a more sustainable future. However, to further develop ambitious projects, women need support at various levels, including information and financial ones, as well as the ability to find reliable partners and investors.
Taking this into account, the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance decided to support women entrepreneurs from the BRICS countries and globally and create a digital infrastructure containing the project database where women can find their partners, investors, as well as form a community of likeminded people.
The BRICS Women’s Business Alliance project database is a unique recourse, where women can find a business partner, attract financial resources, create mutually beneficial partnerships and establish contacts with like-minded people.
