Carbon Reduction Marathon Challenge
About:

The Carbon Reduction Marathon Challenge is an innovative project designed to engage individuals in reducing their carbon emissions. By drawing parallels to marathon running, this initiative encourages participants to progressively decrease their carbon footprint through measurable actions. The goal is to raise environmental awareness and drive significant carbon reductions, helping to meet global sustainability targets. Through a series of stages, participants will adopt greener practices, track their progress, and compete for rewards, fostering a community dedicated to achieving a lower carbon future.

BOTTLOOP
About:

Since 2018, central and local governments have frequently introduced relevant policies, pushing the Chinese society’s attention on ecological civilization, waste-free cities, waste sorting, green production and lifestyle to an unprecedented level. On September 22, 2020, President Xi Jinping proposed at the general debate of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly that China would strive to reach carbon dioxide peaking by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. This major strategic policy further accelerated the pace of green and low-carbon development. However, the overall development of China’s environmental protection industry is slow, and there are no universally recognized technical norms, management systems, and evaluation standards for the practice of resource recycling (“zero waste”) in the market. Moreover, there is a lack of mature institutions to provide zero-waste solutions for market entities.

Meanwhile, although there are many mature brands in the international market for RPET recycled product business (producing recycled polyester products from recycled waste plastic bottles), the domestic market is far from mature. Most products are secondary lines of major brands, and most are produced through OEM procurement, lacking traceability of waste resource recovery channels. This element is crucial for controlling environmental pollution and urging enterprises to fulfill their responsibilities of sustainable development. In the era of increasing public awareness of environmental protection, BOTTLOOP, the sustainable lifestyle brand , “zero waste full-process solution” has emerged. Currently, this business is still nascent.

BOTTLOOP mainly provides consulting and implementation services for government and corporate/institutional clients, targeting daily office work and large-scale events such as competitions, performances, conferences, etc., combining resource management, material deployment, guidance collection, carbon reduction and recycling, and replacement of recycled materials to improve the utilization rate of disposable resources, reduce the resource consumption and negative environmental impact of waste, thereby promoting the establishment of industry standards and exploring the practical direction of modern green production and lifestyle in China. BOTTLOOP, along with its parent company Incom Recycle, which has 17 years of experience in this industry, together share advanced technology. It has passed the GRS global recycling standard certification and ISO9001 international quality system certification. With a traceable safe recycling and recycling industry chain, it can provide accurate quantities of RPET recycled goods for consumption of beverage bottles. Recycled goods are equipped with traceable carbon emission reduction data issued by industry authorities, and scanning the QR code on the product can view the details. At the same time, BOTTLOOP combines blockchain technology with carbon reduction information of government and corporate customers to build a green credit system for the whole society. Beyond the international discourse system, it creates a new model for promoting the value of Chinese environmental protection industry. Since its inception, BOTTLOOP has quickly become a well-known brand in the sustainable field. In 2019, it was invited by the All-China Youth Federation to participate in the United Nations Climate Summit as a representative of Chinese environmental protection enterprises. Its partners include Starbucks, BMW, Pepsi, Caixin Summit, China Circular Economy Association, China Environmental Protection Federation, World Wide Fund for Nature, National Geographic, and People’s Network. It has set off a wave of environmental protection in all sectors of society. It has successfully helped the Modern Sky Strawberry Festival, China Cup Regatta, Caixin Summit, CITIC Tower, Kerry Center, Palace Museum Cultural Creative, etc. to create a zero-waste full-process solution that attracts young generations to identify and pursue sustainable lifestyles. In today’s China, where environmental awareness is on the rise, BOTTLOOP provides a new idea of brand value-added operation for the environmental protection industry.

Research and industrial application of in situ accurate and efficient remediation technology for urban organic contaminated sites
About:

This project belongs to urban industrial contaminated sites remediation. There are 300,000 to 500,000 industrial contaminated sites in China, with organic contaminated sites accounting for more than 70% and keep increasing in recent years. Such contaminated sites are generally widely distributed and involve a variety of industries, in which the pollutant composition is complex, leading to significant combined pollution, and the pollutants are present in both water and soil, with complicated distribution characteristics. Therefore, the key remediation technologies for such sites are the scientific and technological basis for implementing the guiding principle of in-situ disposal of Soil contaminated Prevention and Control Action Plan as well as helping achieve the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. It has broken through the technical problems of poor restoration effect of heterogeneous and low permeability organic pollution sites and the application bottleneck problems of high energy consumption and high cost of traditional remediation technology, achieving the localization of environmental remediation equipment. This improved the use efficiency of equipment by more than 30% and saved energy consumption by more than 40% compared with traditional environmental remediation technology. The project has been identified as the international leading level by professional organizations. The technical achievements of this project have successively awarded 41 Chinese invention and utility model patents, been selected as the key environmental protection practical technology of China, won the Beijing New Technology and New Product certification, the China Science and Technology Progress Award, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Science and Technology Promotion Development Award, China Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award, etc. The technical achievements of the project have been applied to the remediation of more than 170 industrial contaminated sites in Chinese cities, about 10 million m³ of contaminated soil and 3 million m³ of contaminated groundwater have been repaired. In the last three years, more than 2 billion yuan of investment has been driven and about 5 billion yuan of contaminated site restoration funds have been saved. It has realized the safe reuse of more than 3 million contaminated land, and is expected to achieve more than 20 billion yuan of land appreciation. In summary, the project has significant economic, social and environmental benefits.

“Titanium-Phosphorus-Sulfur-Iron-Calcium” Comprehensive Resource Recycling and Mineralization Integrated Project
About:

The project adopts the advanced technology recognized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection – the clean production process of titanium dioxide by the sulfate method. It has formed a circular economy system of titanium-phosphorus-sulfur-iron-calcium, achieving the maximization of resource utilization through the integration and coupling of the circular economy. The acid-making system provides the necessary sulfuric acid and steam for the production of titanium dioxide, using advanced medium and low-temperature heat recovery technology. The medium-pressure steam generated is used for waste heat power generation, and the low-pressure steam generated after power generation is used for the production of titanium dioxide, achieving the maximum and graded utilization of thermal energy. The waste acid from the production of titanium dioxide is concentrated by the tail gas of the furnace after the furnace, and the titanium dioxide system is reused and sold to surrounding enterprises for use, and a portion is used to produce granular export superphosphate and other chemical products. The production of titanium dioxide byproduct ferrous sulfate is mixed with sulfur iron ore, and the iron powder residue produced is sold to steel mills. The mining sector will be built into a first-class benchmark mine in the country with integrated mining, selection, and recharging.
