More than 1,000 applications from 28 countries were submitted to participate in the BRICS Women’s Startups Contest, including Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Iran, Russia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Colombia, Namibia, Botswana, Mauritania, Eswatini, Turkey, Central African Republic, Nigeria, Honduras, Ecuador, Ghana, Tanzania.
The Contest has shown that all projects of women entrepreneurs are highly developed, have great potential and a comprehensive approach.
However, to further develop ambitious projects, women need support at various levels, including information and financial ones, as well as the ability to find reliable partners and investors.
The BRICS WBA platform provides women entrepreneurs with information and communication support, increases project recognition, coverages activities of women entrepreneurs, expands the network of professional contacts, as well as gives an opportunity to find partners and establish partnership directly.
Encouraging women’s business ensures the strength of the economy and supports entrepreneurial activity in the BRICS countries.
The creation of a startup database is aimed at creating an ecosystem that will facilitate the promotion of women’s entrepreneurship and the growth of the share of women’s business both in the BRICS countries and globally.
