This study suggests the development of a radiofrequency immobilizer biometric authentication (RIBA) system, which is a technological advancement that will use driver wireless technology to prevent unauthorized vehicle access. It will make use of unique biometric data to verify the driver’s identity and facilitate access, enhancing security protocols. The system will integrate seamlessly into existing vehicle frameworks, enhancing community safety and preventing theft attempts. It will eliminate the need for conventional keys, establishing a stringent control mechanism for exclusive authorization for vehicle operation. The RIBA, the premier aftermarket CAN bus immobilizer, will offer unparalleled protection against vehicle theft by safeguarding against key-cloning, hacking, and key theft. It will use existing vehicle interfaces to create a unique and modifiable disarm sequence, similar to a PIN code. The RIBA will also have the unique capability to impede communication within the vehicle’s network, known as the campus, preventing unauthorized access to the vehicle’s coding mechanisms. This preventive measure neutralizes the ability of illicit operators to access or manipulate key information stored within the vehicle’s computer box.
