Lesethato Co-op was registered in 2014, we are in crop and poultry production. We were busy with broiler production for two years before the landlord terminated our contract for some reasons. Ekurhuleni Municipality gave us a 2.2 hectares to utilise it but our challenge is that we don’t have electricity, water, fence and toilet in the land. We managed to build a broiler house that can carry 500 chickens, we have a 3 by 5 parkhome that we use as an office and a store room. The department of agriculture has assisted us with garden tools and fertilizer. Our objective is to recover township economy, create employment especially for women and people with disabilities. To establish quality products/services at a reasonable price to our customers and to be instrumental in skills transfer to our employees and the community.
