Municipal Program for Integral Health of the Black Population, established by Law 7749/2022, also known as the Lenora Mendes Louro Law. This Program regulates the National Policy for Integral Health of the Black Population within the municipality and also aims to promote equity in access to health for the Black population, ensuring quality care and inclusive health policies.
The Program is the result of a popular initiative that had the support of a group of councilmen and councilwomen committed to combating racism and, in this case, reducing racial disparities in health and improving the experience of patients/families/black populations in the Universal Health System (SUS).
