Food Security and Agriculture for South Africa

DARJYO is an emerging tech startup that has put together a comprehensive agricultural project aimed at promoting sustainable and efficient farming practices in the South Coast of Durban, KZN, South Africa region. By transitioning from traditional farming into constructing 12 acres of tunnel farms, the project seeks to optimize water usage and minimize waste. Through the implementation of AI and potentially quantum computing technologies, DARJYO aims to achieve precision agriculture, enhancing crop yields and reducing environmental impact. Additionally, the project will establish an apprenticeship program to train locals in sustainable farming techniques, providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to participate in the growing agricultural sector. By facilitating market access for graduates of the program, DARJYO aims to empower local communities and contribute to economic development in South Africa and other BRICS countries.
