On June 23, 2026, the 2026 BRICS Women’s Leadership Forum was successfully held in Beijing, China. The Forum, themed “Forging BRICS Strength for a Shared Future,” was organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC). Representatives from the “BRICS+” countries, including outstanding women from political, business, academic, and cultural sectors, exchanged views on topics such as building a resilient global supply chain network with inclusive leadership, driving a new engine of BRICS technology cooperation with resonant innovation, and painting a new vision of harmony in diversity with cultural exchange. The Forum also featured a thematic sharing session titled “Empowering Women’s Strength, Building a BRICS Future” and introduced the forthcoming BRICS Women’s Development Report (2026). Over 300 participants, including government officials, business leaders, experts, scholars, and diplomats from BRICS countries, attended the event.
