Documents required at the border
If you need a visa to enter the Russian Federation:
You must bring the following to cross the border:
– a visa
– a valid passport
– a medical insurance policy valid in the Russian Federation
(if needed)
If you do not need a visa to enter the Russian Federation:
You must bring the following to cross the border:

– a medical insurance policy valid in the Russian Federation
(if needed)
In order to avoid any issues when crossing into the Russian Federation, please ensure that you have a copy of your visa invitation letter to the II BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum.
The absence of an invitation letter may be a reason for refusal to board an airplane or cross the border of the Russian Federation.
How to apply for a visa?
If you need visa to enter the Russian Federation, you can:
Applying for a visa
by obtaining an invitation for foreign arrivals (for all Forum participants)
1. An invitation for foreign arrivals is not an invitation to the II BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum, but a separate document from the Forum organizers.
-Request a visa invitation letter from the BRICS WBA Russia Chapter Secretariat (brics@globalrustrade.com)
-Fill in the online questionnaire: https://visa.kdmid.ru/
-Download and print the invitation for foreign arrivals, as well as a completed questionnare.
-Submit the invitation for foreign arrivals and visa application form, along with all the other required visa documents, to the Russian consular office.
If there are any errors in your personal data in the application for participation, contact the BRICS WBA Russia Chapter Secretariat (brics@globalrustrade.com) to make changes to the personal data.
Please make sure to bring the following documents with you when attending your local Consulate office:
1. A printed invitation for foreign arrivals;
2. A valid travel document recognized by the Russian Federation. The passport must have at least two blank pages and be valid for at least six months after the requested visa expiration date;
3. A completed and printed visa application form.
4. A 35 x 45 mm photo (color or black and white) with a clear front view of the participant’s face, without tinted glasses or headgear (with the exception of foreign citizens who are required to wear headgear with respect to their nationality or religion, and provided that they are wearing headgear in their passport photo). The photograph must have been taken no earlier than six months before the date of application;
5. A medical insurance policy that is valid in Russia.

Please note that all the consular visa fees are paid by a guest. Visa fees are not refundable and don’t guarantee the issue of a visa. The Consulate has the right to invite the applicant for a personal interview. Questions on personal and business issues may be asked.

2. Submit an application at a consular office
To receive a visa for entry into Russia, individuals in possession of an invitation must apply at the relevant foreign consular office of the Russian Federation. Information about the location of Russian consular offices can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (https://mid.ru/en/maps/ ).
We recommend that participants apply at their Russian consular office in good time, at least 2 (two) weeks before departure.
Participants are advised not to apply for entry visas at intermediary visa centres or travel agencies, which are not authorized to issue official visas.

Citizens of 55 foreign countries are eligible for e-visas.
