On 5 December, the Ilgiz F. jewelry gallery in Moscow hosted the final meeting of the Russian Chapter of the Women’s Business Alliance. The participants of the meeting discussed the results of the Chapter’s work during the year of the Indian BRICS chairmanship. They also set the agenda for 2022 and elaborated on how to further develop and promote the projects of the Russian Chapter of the Alliance.
Thus, this year Women’s Business Alliance held the first meetings of the Alliance’s working groups in five areas: innovative development, inclusive economy, food & environmental safety, healthcare and creative industries & tourism. Alliance members widely supported the projects of the Russian Chapter presented at Alliance’s events and other venues:
- Alliance platform (curated by Anna Nesterova)
- BRICS Organic Farming Association (curated by Olga Belyavtseva)
- BRICS Cultural Forum “Green Fashion and Universal Design” (curated by Galina Volkova)
- Comprehensive project to ensure safe tourism infrastructure in the BRICS countries (curated by Elena Chashchina)
Russian projects and recommendations were included in the Alliance Annual Report 2022. The Russian Chapter has also started covering the activities of the Alliance on social networks, such as Facebook and Instagram. The Russian Chapter also has developed the Alliance’s unified style.
Together with our partners within the Alliance, Russian Chapter developed the Alliance Terms of Regulation, prepared a Compendium of positive stories on women, and participated in the BRICS Women Innovation Contest (the winner from Russia is Elena Chashchina).
This year, the members of the Alliance also took part in key events, for example, Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the BRICS Business Forum, the XIII BRICS Summit and the Third Eurasian Women’s Forum.
A presentation of the Moscow Gallery Ilgiz F. concluded the meeting. They also presented the works of Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, the only Russian jeweler and enameler who received high-profile international recognition.
