The BRICS Women’s Startups Contest will be held in Moscow. More than 100 entrepreneurs from 10 countries have already registered as participants on the website of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance. The official launch of the Contest will be announced at the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum, which will take place on June 2-4 in Moscow.
Participants of the Contest will present their startups in the field of IT, education, health and medicine, ecology, food security and agriculture, innovation and infrastructure, as well as artificial intelligence. The jury will be representatives of the National Chapters of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, as well as representatives of the business community of the countries of the association.
The general partner of the BRICS Women’s Startups Contest is Sberbank. The strategic partner of the BRICS Women’s Startups Contest is Gazprombank.
“The main goal of the Contest is to select the best startups of women entrepreneurs from the BRICS countries for their subsequent scaling in the markets of the member countries of the association. The contest will allow the exchange of advanced technological solutions and increase the contribution of women’s entrepreneurship to the creation of added value in the BRICS space,” said Anna Nesterova, Global Chairperson of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance.
The qualifying stage will be held online until September 2024. In each nomination of the Contest, the international jury will select 3 winners. The 21 winners will be given a visit to Russia to attend the award ceremony as part of the Women’s Business Alliance session at the BRICS Business Forum in October 2024.
