On June 4, within the framework of the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum, a special session “BRICS Friends” was held, moderated by Anna Nesterova, Global Chairperson of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, Founder of the Watchmaking Manufactury “Palekh Watch”.
The general partner of the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum was Sberbank.
The speakers of the session were Elena Prokhorova, Head of the business wing of the Belarusian Women’s Union Belarus, Raushan Sarsembayeva, President of the Association of Business Women of Kazakhstan, Altynay Abdykerimova, President of the Association of Women in Energy of Kyrgyzstan, Bermet Tologonova, Owner of the company “AZEM GROUP”, Yanty Melianty, Founder and Executive director of PT MAGFOOD INOVASI PANGAN; Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Business Women Association (IWAPI), Hanh Ha Thi, Institute for Economic, Environmental and Data Science Studies (IREEDS Institute), Kutemba Konga, Chairperson of BRICS WBA Zambia Country Centre, Dr Mandas Marikanda, Chief Executive Officer of Zimbabwe Women’s Microfinance Bank, Secretariat Representative of BRICS WBA Zimbabwe Country Centre, Victoria Bayran, Head of the Center for Support and Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship of OJSC Belinvestbank (Belarus), Jamilya Abdullayeva, Deputy Chairman and Founder of the Association for the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, Victoria Zvereva, Deputy Director of Moscow Export Center.
During the session the guests from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Zambia and Zimbabwe discussed the main opportunities that open up for international cooperation in the areas of trade, investment and technology, as well as the main challenges that the BRICS partners must overcome to strengthen their role on the world market.
“The BRICS countries are rapidly increasing influence in the global economy and are fully involved in the objective process of forming a polycentric architecture of the world order. The countries of the Global South and East are coming to the forefront of transnational trade and investment activity, placing more and more hope on the association as their organizing principle at the global level” , – noted Anna Nesterova, Global Chairperson of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, Founder of the Watchmaking Manufactury “Palekh Watch”.
