The first BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum will be held in Moscow

From June 2 to 4, 2024, the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum will be held at the Radisson Collection Moscow Hotel. The business event will be attended by more than 300 delegates from 30 countries, including representatives of National Chapters of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance from 10 member-states. The Forum is organized by the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance.

The Forum site will host an exhibition of goods made by women – “Made in BRICS by Women.”

The Forum will be attended by representatives of the business and expert community, government authorities of the BRICS countries and international media. Participants will discuss issues of trade and investment cooperation, accessibility of digital technologies, development of creative industries and the role of women in industry and the inclusive economy.

The general partner of the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum is Sberbank.

According to Anna Nesterova, Global Chairperson of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, “for the first time, the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum will be held in an expanded format with 5 new BRICS member countries. It is planned to sign 10 interstate cooperation agreements. The expansion of the organization should give impetus to the development of women’s entrepreneurship in an area that covers almost half of the world’s population.”

The event is planned to be attended by representatives of government level, in particular Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Russian Federation Rodrigo Baena Soares, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Russian Federation Nazih El Nagari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali, Princess of Saudi Arabia H.H. Princess Dr. Jawaher A. Bin Jalawi Alsaud and other high-ranking guests.

In honor of the Forum, a traditional gala dinner will be organized, which will take place on June 3, 2024 at the Lotte Hotel Moscow. As part of the gala dinner program, guests will be able to plunge into the world of Russian music and culture, get acquainted with the national cuisine, traditions, customs and folk crafts of our country, in particular the Russian tea tradition and one of the ancient crafts – felting felt boots, etc.

During the forum, the launch of the Coomon Digital Platform for Women’s Entrepreneurship and the opening of the BRICS Women’s Startups Contest, aimed at selecting the best business models of startups for the purpose of their subsequent scaling in the countries of the association, will be launched.
