On May 19, 2025, as part of her visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, took part in the round table “Women’s Entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan and the BRICS countries: prospects and ways of further cooperation development “, organized by the Regional office of the Alliance in Kyrgyzstan.
Representatives of government circles, business community and public organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic took part in the discussion. Among them were Gulshat Asylbayeva, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Temir Sariev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Georgy Pivko, Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic, Aizhan Chynybayeva, Chairman of Bizdin Ayimdar, Altynai Abdykerimova, Chairperson of the BRICS WBA Regional Office in Kyrgyzstan.
Anna Nesterova presented the activities and key initiatives of the Alliance to promote women’s entrepreneurship and strengthen economic ties between the countries. She also spoke about upcoming events – the second edition of the BRICS Women’s Startup Contest and the II BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum.
“Kyrgyzstan became one of the first countries where the BRICS WBA opened its regional office during the Russia’s BRICS Presidency. During today’s round table, we took another step to deepen economic cooperation in order to support women’s entrepreneurship. Kyrgyzstan’s expanded participation in the second BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum and the possible holding of a reciprocal business event in Kyrgyzstan will create a new international platform for business development,” said Anna Nesterova.
In turn, Gulshat Asylbayeva, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, noted that today women play a key role in creating innovative solutions, developing new markets and social transformation. Despite significant successes, Kyrgyz businesswomen need new channels of financing women’s entrepreneurship, accelerating digital transformation and entering promising markets.
During the discussions special attention was also paid to strengthening business ties, implementing joint projects and involving women in the economy in the BRICS space. The participants expressed interest in the Alliance’s initiatives and discussed the ways to increase women entrepreneurs’ access to global markets.
