On May 7, 2025, the First Lady of Brazil H.E. Rosângela Lula da Silva held a meeting with the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance at the Embassy of Brazil in Russia.
The Brazilian side was also represented at the meeting by H.E. Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Russian Federation, and H.E. Luciana Blair Soares, the Ambassador’s wife.
The Russian side was represented by Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the Alliance, Elena Chashchina, Managing Partner and Co-Owner of the Epotos Group of Companies, a member of the Russian Chapter of the Alliance, and Galina Volkova, Doctor of Economics, Founder of the Ortomoda Group of Companies, a member of the Russian Chapter of the Alliance.
The meeting participants discussed the work of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance during the Brazilian BRICS presidency in 2025, including preparations for its key event – the XVII BRICS Summit, the level of development of women’s entrepreneurship in Brazil and Russia, as well as the cultural characteristics of the two countries.
At the meeting, Anna Nesterova presented the Compendium on the Best Projects of the BRICS Women’s Startup Contest for 2024.
In the spirit of continuity, in 2025, the BRICS Women’s Startup Contest is being held under the Brazilian presidency.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
