Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, participated in the session of the Eurasian Women’s Forum “International Cooperation between Women for Economic Development”, which took place on June 19, 2025 on the sidelines of the SPIEF.
Speaking about the most effective tools to support women’s entrepreneurship within the BRICS WBA framework, Anna Nesterova highlighted:
– BRICS Women’s Startup Contest, which demonstrates the potential of women in high-tech and innovation fields;
– BRICS WBA digital platform that unites users from more than 40 countries and provides access to information and business contacts;

– B2B and B2G, arranged to establish and strengthen partnerships between stakeholders.
“The Alliance was established 5 years ago, and the main task was, is, and will be – tangible results, practical projects aimed at international cooperation,” emphasized Anna Nesterova.
The Chairperson of the BRICS WBA Russia Chapter drew special attention to the Alliance’s initiative to open regional offices. To date, such country centers have been opened in Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Eswatini.
“Interest in the women’s entrepreneurship agenda, particularly within the framework of BRICS, is increasing. It is also growing among countries that are not currently members of BRICS, but are ready to actively work on business tracks,” concluded Anna Nesterova.
