From 6 to 14 December, 2025, Russian design is taking centre stage at the exposition «Russian Soul: modern heritage», presented as part of Chiang Mai Design Week 2025 in Thailand.
The exposition will highlight contemporary interpretations of traditional crafts and current Russian design trends at one of Southeast Asia’s most significant creative platforms.
Among the key participants are two remarkable Russian brands rooted in rich cultural heritage:
• Palekh Watch – a Russian watch brand, focused on its mission to make the global market aware of the Russian art, and specifically of the ancient Russian art, born in the 17th century in the town of Palekh;
• Tvorenie – a brand inspired by the magnificent Palekh miniatures and illustrations of Russian folk tales.
The exhibition, arranged across three thematic zones – “Russian North” , “Golden Ring”, and “The Steppes” – will demonstrate the full spectrum of Russian creative thought and the country’s cultural diversity. Visitors will be able to trace the path from centuries-old traditions to current trends through more than 150 unique items from 20 Russian brands and master artisans.
Chiang Mai Design Week 2025 is organized by the Russian-Thai Business Council (RTBC).
