2026 is announced the Year of Belarusian Woman in Belarus. In this context, the country has adopted a number of government and public programs aimed at promoting women’s initiatives in various fields of social activity, international relations, and private initiatives, including within the BRICS community, where Belarus has the status of a partner country.

Recognizing the great future and strong foundation of this community, representatives of the Belarusian Women’s Union (BWU) have already set their eyes on the BRICS, and have come forward with an initiative concerning the international scientific community, which could harmonize the situation in the field of international scientometric databases that are the integral part of scientific activity of any country in the world.

The long-term professional experience, multiplied by pragmatism and perspective, allowed the Director and Founder of the largest in the post-Soviet space publishing house Professional Editions Lyudmila Yevtushenko (Head of the primary organization of the BWU) to propose to the experts of the BRICS countries considering the creation of a New Scientometric Database of the BRICS countries. (15 international scientific and practical journals issued by the publishing house for nearly 30 years, are included in the world’s most authoritative databases). The initiative announced was positively evaluated by representatives of the scientific medical community of Belarus and Russia, and may become an event in the life of the BRICS scientific community.
