BRICS WBA Starts BRICS Women’s Startups Contest

On June 3, 2024, at the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum, the BRICS Women’s Startups Contest, one of the main events of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance during Russia’s BRICS Chairship, was officially started.

The general partner of the BRICS Women’s Startups Contest is Sberbank.

The Contest is aimed at selecting the most interesting and successful startups, initiated by women from the BRICS countries, in order to facilitate their growth and scaling.

The Contest is held in the following categories:
● IT;
● Education;
● Health and medicine;
● Ecology;
● Food security and agriculture;
● Innovation and infrastructure;
● Artificial intelligence.

Members of the Contest jury will be representatives of the BRICS WBA National Chapters and the business community of the BRICS countries.

The Contest will be held from June to October 2024. The application and selection process will take place online from June to September 2024.

In each nomination of the Contest, the international Jury will select 3 winners, resulting in a total of 21 winners.

The list of winners of the Contest will be announced within the framework of the fourth Eurasian Women’s Forum in September 2024.

A visit to Russia will be organized for them to participate in the award ceremony as part of the Women’s Business Alliance session at the BRICS Business Forum.

In addition, the winners will receive special prizes from the Organizers and partners of the Contest.
