On June 26, 2025, Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, held an online meeting with Inés María Chapman Waugh, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba.
The Cuban side was also represented by Juana Lilia Delgado Portal, Head of the Central Bank of Cuba, ministers and deputies, representatives of national banks, businesswomen from the agricultural, trade and pharmaceutical sectors.
During the conference call, Anna Nesterova presented the key initiatives and activities of the BRICS WBA, as well as covered the opportunities for Cuban entrepreneurs within the framework of the Alliance.
The parties discussed the possibility of opening the BRICS WBA regional office in Havana that would facilitate B2B cooperation between the entrepreneurial comminities from the BRICS countries and Cuba – a partner state of the association.
In conclusion, the participants expressed their aspirations to develop partner ties and readiness to arrange a personal meeting, which would be an important milestone in establishing strong relations between the parties.
