On July 4, 2025, in Rio de Janeiro, the First Lady of Brazil Rosângela Lula da Silva held a meeting with the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance ahead of the XVII BRICS Summit.
The meeting was attended by the chairpersons and members of the National Chapters of the Alliance in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, the UAE and South Africa.
Representatives of the BRICS WBA presented the activities and projects of their National Chapters and outlined priority areas for the development of the Alliance.
Following up the meeting, an initiative was put forward to hold such meetings on a regular basis.
