On January 27, 2026 representatives of the Russian University of Cooperation (RUC), a member of the Russian chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, held a Foresight Session titled “Designing the Future: From Global Trends to Joint BRICS–ASEAN Project Initiatives” as part of the Alliance delegation’s visit to Lao PDR.
The event was moderated by Ms. Veronika Derzhavina, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Russian University of Cooperation.
The session’s agenda included:
1. Examining key impact trends in youth entrepreneurship (AI, sustainability, creative economy, culture, etc);
2. Developing concrete cross-national project initiatives (educational/social/cultural/innovation);
3. Defining launch steps: roles, timelines, and interaction formats.
The event brought together representatives from the BRICS and ASEAN member countries, including:
• Russia;
• Indonesia;
• Lao PDR;
• Malaysia;
• the Philippines;
• Viet Nam;
• Myanmar;
• Thailand.
The key outcome of the session was the formulation of a roadmap for implementing cross-country projects aimed at fostering ASEAN–BRICS youth entrepreneurship.
