On June 3, as part of the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum, a panel session «BRICS: Creative Industries as a Growth Factor» was held, moderated by Yuliana Slashcheva, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Soyuzmultfilm Film Studio, Chairman of the Board of the Animated Film Association, General Director of the Film Studio. M. Gorky, Head of Working Group on Creative Industries and Tourism of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance.

The general partner of the BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum was Sberbank.

“We have a very important audience because we are all women who are leaders in the creative industry,” noted Yuliana Slashcheva, welcoming the panelists.

During the session, experts from Russia, Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Egypt and Iran from various areas of the creative economy discussed priority areas for the development of creative industries in the BRICS countries, as well as prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries of the association in this area.

Thus, Qin Xiaomin, former deputy general director of the overseas business department of Hytera Communications Co. Ltd. (Hytera) presented the project of the educational platform “Digital Clone”, which provides new opportunities in obtaining education.

Gayatri Gulliani, Consultant with Lionsgate and Founder of Kleos Entertainment Group and Mpho Mogotsi, CEO of Heal Vibration (PTY) LTD discussed the role of the film industry in their countries and the opportunities for joint cooperation in this area.

“By creating a strong ecosystem and sharing experiences, we could realize the full potential of our industries and contribute to the economic growth of all BRICS countries,” said Pakinam Moustafa, Founder & CEO of Paky Art House.

Reena Mishra Vashisht, Director of Thinking Beyond Interiors Pvt. Ltd, Nafiseh Shahi Nouri, CEO of Ilsa Creative House, Afrouz Bavafa, Co-founder and CEO of SOOR CREATIVE MEDIA ARTS and Diana Kilchurina, Director of work with designers of the National Chamber of Fashion, Moscow Fashion Week; International Director of the Fashion Foundation, shared their proposals for developing cooperation in creative industries.
