Anna Nesterova Participates in X Annual International Conference “Women for Success – Megatrends Shaping Women Economic Potential” in Cairo

On February 13, 2025, Cairo hosted the X Annual International Conference of the Businesswomen of Egypt 21.

Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, took part in the opening ceremony of the event, which was held in the League of Arab States.

At the beginning of her speech, Anna Nesterova expressed her gratitude to Yomna Elsheridi, President of the Businesswomen of Egypt 21, CEO of Special Food Industry International, member of the Egyptian Chapter of the BRICS WBA, for the invitation to participate in the Conference. The Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the Alliance emphasized that Russia and Egypt historically maintained close ties based on mutual respect and understanding.

“Last year, the National Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance in Egypt was officially appointed. We must praise that our colleagues quickly joined the work and actively participated in all our events. This certainly contributed to strengthening relations between women entrepreneurs, on both bilateral and multilateral levels,” said Anna Nesterova.

The Chairperson of the BRICS WBA Russia Chapter spoke about the Alliance’s establishment, structure, and goals, as well as plans and priorities for 2025, the period of Brazil’s presidency in BRICS. In particular, Anna Nesterova said that the Alliance planned to hold the II BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum in Russia on May 15 – 16, 2025, and invited everyone present to participate in the event.

The opening ceremony of the Conference was also attended by Haifa Abu Ghazala, Head of the social sector of the League of Arab States, Kamel el-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister of Egypt, Rania El-Mashatt, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation of Egypt, Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity of Egypt, Dalia El Hawari, Deputy Chairman of GAFI.
