Awareness-raising Initiative in the Oil and Gas Industry

Since 2019, Zarubezhneft has been supporting the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources “Business and Biodiversity” to preserve and restore the West Siberian population of the Siberian Crane (white crane, listed in the Red Book of

Russia). The initiative is implemented within the framework of the National Project “Ecology”

Objectives:

• Establish an educational platform;
• Encourage the use of clean energy;

Goals:

• Share the experience of efficient energy consumption;
• Raise awareness about the zero-waste use of resources;;
• Promote environmental stewardship;
• Use the possibilities of clean energy.

Course of lectures:

• Awareness of sustainable development and decarbonization agenda (in oil and gas) in the BRICS countries;
• Raising education attainment in the BRICS countries;
• More than 3 lectures yearly (starting from September 2024 once a month);

The implementation of the project will create long-term value in publicly significant economic, environmental and social areas based on building effective and ethical interaction.
