Creation of thematic pharma clustersfor development and organizationof innovative drug products production

In 2024, BRICS WBA Russia Chapter initiated the project “Creation of thematic pharma clusters for development and organization of innovative drug products production” within the framework of the working group on healthcare.

The creation of thematic pharma clusters will allow to combine the capabilities, competencies and efforts of companies from the BRICS member-states to address the challenges of promptly providing the national healthcare systems with high-demand drugs. The combination of companies can be implemented in the form of international alliances.

The operation of international alliances will optimize the financial and time expenditures of national companies for the development, production and market launch of drugs.

Defining the status of such thematic pharma clusters, with appropriate support from the BRICS countries, will enhance opportunities for cooperation and financing of such projects.

The establishment of the thematic pharma clusters will serve as a practical basis for developing approaches to harmonizing the regulatory requirements of the BRICS member states.
