BRICS WBA Russian Chapter's Business Lunch with the Ambassador of Brazil in Russia
On March 13, 2024, the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance participated in a business lunch with the Ambassador of Brazil in Russia Rodrigo De Lima Baena Soares.
During the meeting, Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance, told about the Alliance's plans for the period of the Russian BRICS Chairship. In particular, Anna noted that from March 25 to 26, 2024, a delegation from the Russian Chapter of the Alliance will visit Brazil to participate in the Third Forum of Women Entrepreneurs "WeForum", on the margins of which a series of business meetings will be held.
The business lunch was also attended by Elena Chashchina, managing partner and co-owner of the group of companies "Epotos", curator of the Alliance's working group on creative industries and tourism, Galina Volkova, founder and general director of the Center for Public Health and Social Development "Orthomoda", curator of the working group on inclusive economy, Christina Romanovskaya, general director of the farm "Lazarevskoye", Natalia Vershinina, founder and general director of the group of companies "United Migration Center". As well as Victoria Panova, Head of the BRICS Expert Council, Vice-Rector of the Higher School of Economics, and Zhanna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS.
During the meeting, Anna Nesterova invited Rodrigo De Lima Baena Soares to participate in the main events of the Alliance, including the BRICS Women's Entrepreneurship Forum, the traditional panel session of the Alliance at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, and asked the Ambassador of Brazil to disseminate information about the BRICS Best Women's Startups Competition among women entrepreneurs in Brazil.
In turn, Rodrigo De Lima Baena Soares emphasized the importance of developing business cooperation and increasing trade turnover between Russia and Brazil. And expressed the opinion that one of the main goals of the BRICS WBA for 2024 is the realization of joint projects directly with the Brazilian side. Mr. Ambassador also noted the potential for cooperation between the two countries in the field of startup development.
Following the meeting, Mr. Rodrigo De Lima Baena Soares accepted the invitation to participate in the BRICS Women's Business Alliance events and wished good luck to the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance in its upcoming visit to Brazil.
