BRICS WBA Global Chairperson Takes Part in Research Conference “The Future of Diplomacy and Diplomatic Services”

On November 15, 2024, Global Chairperson of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, Anna Nesterova, took part in the International Research Conference “The Future of Diplomacy and Diplomatic Services”, hosted by the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The event, held under Russia’s Chairship in 2024, was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions, delegations of diplomatic academies and analytical centers from 20 countries, including the BRICS countries and countries interested in the association. The conference participants discussed current trends in the development of the diplomatic service, transformation of the international relations, economic and digital diplomacy, use of artificial intelligence for diplomatic purposes, as well as the challenges of diplomacy in the 21st century.

Delivering the speech at the conference, the Chairpaerson of the BRICS WBA touched upon an urgent topic – the impact of business diplomacy on the foreign policy of countries. In addition, Anna Nesterova highlighted the role of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance as a business diplomacy tool.

“The BRICS Women’s Business Alliance stands for a thousand projects and two thousand women entrepreneurs united by a great interest in the BRICS cooperation agenda, and intention to do business together despite obvious global challenges”, – Anna Nesterova stated.

The scientific conference became a platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the training of diplomats from the BRICS countries. The participation of representatives of political, business and scientific circles contributed to a comprehensive discussion of the future of diplomacy.
