On January 29, 2026, the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance held and moderated the AWEN – BRICS Women’s Business Alliance Strategic Session in Vientiane, the capital of Lao PDR.

– Dr. Myat Thida Myint AWEN focal point from Myanmar;
– Ms. Rhoda Caliwara AWEN focal point from the Phillippines;
– Ms. Irene Boey AWEN focal point from Singapore;
– Ms. Minh Thi Tuyet Nguyen AWEN focal point from Viet Nam;
– Ms. Preeyapun Mom Luang Sridhavat AWEN focal point from Thailand;
– Ms. Ana Paula Torres Godinho AWEN focal point from Timor-Leste.
During the session, the Alliance’s delegation presented the structure of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance and highlighted the opportunities it offers for women entrepreneurs.
In turn, representatives of the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN) shared their experience and described the existing formats of cooperation within the Network.
As a result of the session, the parties identified several areas of cooperation and agreed on priority projects, marking the beginning of practical collaboration across various fields, including:
– artificial intelligence;
– high-tech industries;
– education;
– youth entrepreneurship.
