African delegation Visits Russia
On April 1-4, 2024, an African delegation led by Lebogang Zulu, Executive Director of Kampara Industries Holdings (Pty) Ltd., Chairperson of BRICS WBA South African Chapter, paid a business visit to Moscow, Russia.

The African delegation also included Zandile Denga, Co-Founder and Executive Director: Africa Women's Bank (Private) Limited, Vice President of Africa Grain & Seed Association, Chairperson of BRICS WBA Zimbabwe Country Centre. Xavier Edziwa, Co-Founder and CEO of Africa Women's Bank (Private) Limited, Co-Chairperson of Trade and Investment Working Group – BRICS WBA South Africa. Shella Maela, President and Group CEO, Maela Holdings (Pty) Ltd, Co-Chairperson: Inclusive Economy (Transport and Logistics) Working Group of BRICS WBA SA. Mandas Marikanda, Chief Executive Officer, Zimbabwe Women's Microfinance Bank (Private) Limited, Deputy Chairperson of BRICS WBA Zimbabwe Country Centre.

The visit included a meeting with Anna Nesterova, Global Chairperson of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance. Anna Nesterova and Lebogang Zulu discussed the Alliance's action plan for 2024, the year of Russia's BRICS Chairship. Following the meeting, Anna Nesterova personally invited Lebogang Zulu to participate in the plenary session of the BRICS Women's Entrepreneurship Forum, to become a member of the expert jury of the BRICS Women's Startup Contest, and to take part as a speaker in the Alliance's panel session at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

A series of working meetings with potential partners from Russia were organized for the delegation.

In addition, as part of the trip, the delegation visited PhosAgro's flagship education center at the Timiryazev Academy, as well as the Williams Soil and Agronomy Museum.
