BRICS WBA RUSSIAN CHAPTER VISITS BRAZIL
On March 25-26, 2024, a delegation of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance took part in the Third Women Entrepreneurs Forum "WEForum" in Brasilia, Brazil.

The purpose of the visit was to build direct contacts and strengthen co-operation between the women's international business community.

Natalia Vershinina, leader of the project "BRICS Mobility Center", spoke at the panel session "Innovation and Technology", discussing the opportunities for Russia and Brazil in the context of globalisation and economic changes.

During the visit, a series of meetings with representatives of the New Development Bank, Council of Women Entrepreneurs and Culture, APEXBRAZIL, the National Confederation of Industry, the National Confederation of Commerce and others were organized for the participants of the delegation.

This visit was marked by a series of productive meetings that allowed us to delve deeper into the potential of bilateral partnership," says Natalia Vershinina, leader of the project "BRICS Mobility Center".

In turn, Ludmila Popova, Professor, Head of the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting
of Orel State University named after Ivan Turgenev, emphasized the importance of improving women's financial literacy and security in the BRICS countries at the panel session "Finance".

In a series of events, Ludmila Popova visited Centro Universitario de Brasiliaen University (CEUB), where she had a meeting with Rafael Mesquita Lopez, Rector of the University. As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on co-operation in the implementation of the project "School on Financial Literacy and Financial Security for women in the BRICS countries".

Alexei Labetsky, Ambassador of Russia to Brazil, and his wife Ekaterina Labetskaya had a business lunch with the participants of the visit on the margins of the Forum.

At the end of the visit, Monica Monteiro, CEO of Pay TV Bandeirantes Group, Chairperson of the BRICS WBA Brazilian Chapter hosted a farewell dinner for representatives of foreign delegations at her house.

Following the visit, all parties noted the high level of the Forum's organization and hospitality of the Brazilian side.
