On June 5, 2023, Galina Volkova, CEO of Orthomoda, Head of Working Group on Inclusive Economy of BRICS WBA Russia Chapter, member of the Russian-Chinese Council on Disability, met with Zhang Haidi, Chairperson of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, and Zhao Sujing, Co-Chairperson of the Russian-Chinese Council on Disability.

Zhang Haidi shared the work plans of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, including implementing measures to overcome poverty among people with disabilities, developing a rehabilitation system for people with disabilities, establishing a network of enterprises for women with disabilities "Beauty Workshops" and training specialists at the newly built University of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences in Qingdao.

Galina Volkova and Zhang Haidi discussed the areas of cooperation within the framework of the Council on Disability, including further development of Paralympism and interaction of national Paralympic teams, continuation of the project aimed at the supply of Russian-made rehabilitation equipment to China.

In addition, Galina Volkova invited Zhang Haidi to participate in the BRICS Forum "Green Fashion&Universal Design", which is considered to be held in 2024, the year of Russia's presidency in the BRICS. Zhang Haidi accepted the invitation.

The meeting took place in the atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
