BRICS WBA Delegation Visits Alibaba Group
On June 7, 2023, as part of a visit to China, the Russian delegation visited the headquarters of Alibaba Group, located in Hangzhou.
After a series of match-making meetings in the morning, a delegation from the BRICS countries went to the Alibaba Group office. Xing Yue, the Vice-President of Alibaba Group addressed the women-entrepreneurs from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa with a welcoming speech.
The representatives of Alibaba Group told the delegation about the company's history of the establishment and activities, as well as conducted tour of the head office, the total area of which is 260,000 m².
The delegation members learned that the company is the second most valuable brand in the country and makes about 100 million deliveries per day in China alone. In addition, the company has 135 offices in 27 countries around the world.
It should be noted that Mme. Wen Jia, the Partner and President for Public Relations of Alibaba Group, is a member of BRICS WBA China Chapter.
